We were stunned by the condition of the "CNN Zimmer game"
We have owned a Zimmer game since 1978. We acquired it from
the estate of an early hobby pioneer. It was sold to us by a young
college student and fellow Wharton alumnus, Rob Lifson.
That same year Rob convinced us to pay a then record price
for another 1893 issued item- a near mint Just So Chewing Tobacco
card.
Today both those items still adorn our collection.
Thanks for always pushing us ahead, Rob.
The only disappointment for us was that three years after we purchased
the game, another legendary collector, and Board Member, outbid us in
a Richard Woldder's Auction for a Just So card of Mr. Zimmer.
