GregI believe this is the company we used to do a restoration of a very rare (only one known) 1895 Brewery Lithograph. They do a wonderful job. Just make sure you document the restoration on the piece. They aren't cheap, by any means. I want to say it was $2000 to restore the lithograph (remove water stains and lighten a crease and crack), but it was well worth it.
There's a big difference between conservation of a piece for history and just making it look better to improve it's monetary worth for resale. It's a fine line, but as long as you're doing it as a means of conservation, I see nothing wrong with doing a repair on a piece that is worthy of doing so.
