Prices for tabletop baseball games range widely, even wildly, and the Ethan Allen / Cadaco "ASB" game is no exception -- so don't go by that $500. pay-out as standard or typical. It's more than half again the top price we've ever seen paid for any other '41 edition.
If we're talking about the same auction result, there were two factors at work: one, it had the old-style "brown-rib" disks in super condition, and two, the winning bidder happens to be an obsessive collector of "ASB," with several dozen editions in his collection.
As for the 1942 edition (actually '42 and '43, no difference between them), yours appears to be in outstanding shape, and we did see one in similarly nice condition sell for about $330. seven years ago, but we've seen many more -- again in similar shape -- sell for $35.-$55. Something around $80.-$100. would actually be close to an average price in that nifty condition.
