I have to wonder though, who the hell bid the big bucks on this card? Even if they know next to nothing about the card, or the hobby, all they have to do is read the flip, and see Topps is spelled incorrectly. Then there's the card itself. Clearly a reprint, or a forgery. Finally, look at the seller. No history of selling sports cards, or anything of value. Suddenly they're selling a pristine '52 Mantle?
Are people really this reckless with their money? The old saying "a fool and his money are soon parted" comes to mind.
