This reminds me of the thread where some types of card collecting get ripped... as in, there are different ways to collect and there are different ways to enjoy the game of baseball. Why rip the ways you don't like?
If you like batting average, good for you! If you enjoy wOBA, have fun! Only into sacrifice flies and balks? Enjoy it!
I think people enjoying different facets of collecting and the game make it more interesting and are better for the long term viability of each. Bashing what other people enjoy is only counter-productive.
