My ideal is a career-contemporary PC signed back in the day and mailed. Personally, I prefer getting a postcard that's been mailed when it comes to a signed item. Just adds some character to the story for me. I'd not have purchased it at all if it was just a Drysdale signed McCarthy PC [lots of those around] but seeing the Brooklyn postmark and the way the back of the card was filled in by Drysdale himself cinched the deal for me. I also have a 1951 Al Rosen PC filled in by Rosen and mailed in 1951. I don't mind waiting for the right item to come up. I waited years to find this one:
