PianoLegsYeah, he made it to the Show; but only because the incomparable Augie Galan pushed him to the outfield. Even the Clipper couldn't displace Augie at short. Galan had 265 hits in 1933, leading the league in runs (164) and triples (22). He also smacked 51 doubles and drove in 102 runs, besting Joe's average by sixteen points. Not bad for a guy less than six feet tall and a shade over 160 pounds.
