Default (Hopefully) An Easily Answered Ebay/Amazon Question...

I have a decent amount of credit card points that I can't use on ebay, but can be used at Amazon. Since (in most cases) the pricing of cards on that site is just truly ridiculous, I was thinking of buying a Visa/Master Card gift card (via Amazon) with my points and using it on ebay. Besides the fees involved, are there any unseen problems with doing this? I assume the credit card will have a code that I enter at checkout, as if it were an ebay gift card? Would there be any issues using my ebay bucks during the same checkout?

I assume there aren't any downsides to doing this, but I just want to make sure I'm not missing anything. Thanks!
