Indeed. If he wants the #1 slot, it will happen. He will snipe and usually you will find out he was going for something as you look at the bid history and see your name as the underbidder shortly after the auction ended. I recall over a year ago when he obliterated me on a 1924 Willards Ruth PSA 7 and I had that same fate.
