Personally, I'd take them to task to see what they might offer, if anything, to compensate for the obvious problem. You can obviously have a change of heart prior to returning it, should you decide to keep it. At least that way you can satisfy yourself with the full knowledge of your options. Should you decide to keep it, just mat it down in size, to reduce the visual defects at the bottom of the image.
