Default The National

Hey Mike,

Glad to hear you went to the Narional and had a great time. Would love to make it out there one of these days but doubt it will happen any time soon.

Interesting Schraffts piece. I'm not familiar with the New York branch, but they also had a branch in Boston. In fact, the old factory building was converted into business (I think they're business, but they might be residential ?) condos a few years back and they saved the famous (huge) Schraffts Neon sign on the front of the building which continues to be lit up to this day. It's almost as familiar a landmark up in Boston as the Citgo sign is in Kenmore Square next to Fenway Park.

I see a lot of red on that ballplayer.....could it be more of a Boston reference?? who knows. Neat though. I love advertising pieces.

Things have slowed down to a dead halt here. Most of it has to do with NOTHING on the market right now for pre-war BoSox material. The other has to do with nothing to buy it with anyway after REA and the taxman.

Hope you are well. Hope to see some photos of the National soon.

Best,
Greg
