It has become mind-boggling to try to understand the HOF selection process these past few year's.
Especially, after last year's debacle of not selecting Buck O'Neil and now this year's non-selection of
Gil Hodges.

Every year since 1985, I have been in Cooperstown on HOF weekend. In recent years there have been
complaints by many up there that the crowds are diminishing every year. Well, it doesn't take a genius
to figure out why....induct the right ballplayers and "the people will come".

Could you imagine the New York crowd in Cooperstown this July, if Gil Hodges had been inducted ?
