I was born and raised in Seattle until I was 12, then we moved away but the love of ALL Seattle sports teams was too well rooted to die. I live in Boise, Idaho now but we are close enough that Root Sports is standard with our Cable Package so I get to watch about 155 games a year and to my wife's dismay, I watch them all. We try and make it up once a year to see a game but this year with the Salt Lake Spring Game the trip is shorter (and my In-Laws live in Utah anyways).
My boys are all die-hard fans too which I love but sometimes I do feel bad for creating such fans in a traditionally bad team (I have an awesome video of my 6 year old crying his eyes out when Ichiro got traded to the YANKEES last year, our families mortal enemy). It teaches them about sticking with something though and SOMEDAY the Mariners will win a World Series and it will mean more to me and my kids than any one specific World Series will ever mean to a Yankees fan!
