Default Printing oddity

Looks to me like the yellow is out of fit...

We call that make-ready or waste sheets (I am a printer by trade). When a pressman hangs the plates and starts running (even today), the various colors (each on a separate plate) aren't in fit from the very first sheet. It takes a little nudging here and there and then you are ready to run with the sheets that would be used.

It could also be a bad plate that was eventually replaced with a good one (but I think the yellow is just out of fit). Picture the yellow being pushed up and to the left, and you will see that it will fit.... and you will also see what a pressman 100 years ago actually did. He moved the yellow up and to the left. Cool to take a peek into a person's work day 100 years ago.

Looks like a card from the beginning of the run. They probably should have been thrown out. But you have one.

card on the left:
looks like a hot spot (plate defect)
