I'm not sure if this occurred at the same time as the signed ball theft, but I've also heard stories about original photos (can't remember if they were signed or not), that were stolen from the HOF. These were stamped on the back and some did make there way in to the hobby, often with the stamp altered/covered. I don't recall whether or not any of these photos were recovered by the HOF. I'm not sure exactly where I read about this, I think Cycleback.com may have been one of the places.
