That's an ugly one.
Those M's are badly misshapen and the "n" in Mantle looks like a "u".
When Mantle was a young man in the late 1930's, the schools were teaching the Palmer method of cursive writing. Mantle's writing throughout his life remained very close to the Palmer style. Meaning that Mantle never wrote the "n" in garlands.
