Default E121 Variations -New Addition?

Posted By: Rhett Yeakley

Everyone familiar with the E121 set of 80 knows of the 2 different variations of the back, the firstline ending in "eighty" and the more common "eighty of the" variety. Other than those differences there is also a variation of the cards on the backs with the line Lancaster and York, Pennsylvania. The "eighty" back lists as "Lancaster and York, Pa." in upper and lower case in more fancy script, while the "eighty of the" back has the last line "LANCASTER AND YORK, PENNA." in all caps and lock letters.

Anyways, the reason for my rant is a card that I have had for a while that has a "eighty of the" back but the last line is written slightly differently. Instead of using the simple block letters it has the same line however it has it printed in a fancier script. I have included a scan of the card I am referring to.

I am not making any assertion that it is rare or anything like that but of the 80 or so E121 series of 80's I have had over the last year and all the E121(80) I have seen on ebay during that time I haven't seen another. It may be that I was just looking at the wrong time or something. I was a little bored today and just a little curious to hear from others that collect this set or that have some of the cards as to whether they have run into this variation.
