My thinking is that people on this level sign so many autographs that they're not going to remember a specific item unless it's an extremely unusual piece, so some of them might say "yes" just to be nice, whether or not they really did sign it.
Here's a video of the wrestler John Cena signing 3,000 photos. He might remember signing the photos as a whole, but I doubt if someone came up to him with "a" photo from that session he'd remember signing that specific one. |
The chances are about as good as finding someone who remembers him playing for the Marlins. It's a longshot.
