Along with having a funny name he was considered to be at the time of his retirement from the game in 1896 one of if not THE best defensive infielder prior to 1900. He's been mentioned a time or two as a possible future Hall of Famer.

Didn't hit too bad either as he won the batting title in 1890. Glasscock's autograph is pretty darn RARE he died in 1947.
