Default When an "M" card becomes an "E" card

Posted By: leon

I know we have discussed Old Put cards and how they made a candy card into a tobacco card, in essence.

Here is a card that has always been classified as a candy card, due to it's back stamp, but I wonder if it didn't really start out as a Sporting News prototype card? Maybe it was a predecessor to our regular M101-4/5 cards, given it's the same pose used in the Sporting News Supplement series, though it's about 25% larger than the Sporting News cards? (these are NOT in proportionate size)
