I won't say that I think America isn't as good as it once was but these things are disappointing.

-Torturing detainees
-Spying on ourselves
-Economy as bad as it's been in my lifetime
-Partisanship on a level I've not seen in my lifetime

Now with that said it appears that we are on the eve of electing our first black president...not possible in the recent past...we almost nominated the first woman to a major political party as president...not sure why this hasn't happened in the past, but it is a step forward.
