Default Portland, Oregon baseball CDV's and tintype

For those who enjoy early material or West Coast memorabilia, here are some of the earliest images of baseball in Portland. The first CDV dates to around 1866-1868, and the other to 1870. They show members of the Portland Pioneer Base Ball Club, the city's first team. The person in the bottom right of the trio sports a faded "PBBC" bib-front jersey. Details on the 1866-1868 Portland baseball CDV and on the 1870 Portland baseball CDV can be found by clicking on the links. Also of interest is a tintype of what is likely an early 1880 era Portland baseball team that is also unusual for its outdoor setting.
