What would it be?

Mine would have to be the 52' topps Mantle my wife bought me in lieu of a diamond engagement ring. We're both happy it's safe to say!

no brainer, I already own it.

number 1 on the hit parade of wanted cards would be a red border Colgan Wagner.

1981 Fleer C Nettles.

This card was given to me by my mom for my birthday. She was a single parent working three jobs. The card shop I went to had it for $25. All my mom could come up with was $17. He sold it to her anyway.

I've kept it in a plastic case that once housed a sports medal - ever since 1981.

That card is worth more than the rest of my collection combined.

I would take the 1872 Boston Red Stockings cdv of Harry Wright in uniform, if I could find one with a clear crisp image.

I am tempted to say "Pete Hill" . . .

Just one? Maybe a nicer version of the e125 Wagner than the one I own now. Really though, I would have a hard time coming up with just ten.

Of the cards I own, my T206 Mathewson no doubt. Not a rare card or my most valuable but the one with the best memories behind it. As far as cards that I don't own it would be a toss up between three. 1888 Joseph Hall cabinet of Boston with Kelly, Radbourn, and Clarkson. 1888 Joseph Hall cabinet of New York with Ward, Ewing, Connor, Welch, O'Rourke, and Keefe. And one more, an 1873 Boston Team cabinet with O'Rourke, both Wright brothers, and Spalding. It guess it is kinda interested all three cabinets feature O'Rourke...though all three not Jim.

I took as what one card do want to own, no matter what. Sentiment or anything else counts. Even though I'd hate to part with my cards from my childhood, I'd much rather keep my Thorpe card and there is no other card I don't own that I would rather have than my Thorpe.

....I think it would be the original Henry Reccius Cigars Hans Wagner. This despite Lelands attempt to ruin it's uniqueness with their reprints. Rookie or not....don't care. Condition....not important. I just find it a really cool card.

It's so difficult to narrow it down to just one card. If it could be ANY card, it would be a 1912 Boston Garter Matty or Johnson. D'oh, that's more than one card. I'd be happy with any '12 BG though, in ANY condition really.

If it's a card I already own, it'd be my t206 proof Al Mattern. I'm lucky I still have it really.

I have been looking for a nice '38 Goudey Joe D #250 off and on for 5 years and came close a few times. The hunt is active now and I refuse to give up. It's not the only card because I wouldn't give up about 4 or 5 endgame cards I have. But it is holding me hostage as it has to be the next card I acquire. A few more people on the B/S/T thread seem to want one also. A tough card without the ugly toning!

After reading the latest Old Cardboard, I'd have to go w/ the Texas Tommy Joe Jackson. Some great cards in that set!

I rarely drink, but when I do I prefer Newcastle Brown Ale for beer and Sambuca or gin for the hard stuff

Because it took me 5 years to find a decent condition one, my choice if I could only have just 1 card would be a George Gibson D322 card.

Nice card Patrick. It's funny, I was looking through an SCD from 1987 and saw this card advertised in vg condition for 25.00. In fact the ad also had a partial set of 24/25 graded VG-EX+ for 1200.00 only missing owner Barney Dreyfuss. Can anyone guess the seller??? He's still around today.

Be well Brian
