Default Macabre 1890 Baseball Team Photo

I came across this photo while researching local baseball here in Richmond Va.I thought I would share it since it seems pretty unique. It is of a Richmond Doctors Baseball Team circa 1890.Check out the bones that replace the bats.I asked the curator if they had any other related pieces to this team.Hopefully he will contact me back with some more information.Im not sure if its a Pro team.Anyway, here it is.

Whoa! Is it actually written on there somewhere that they are doctors? That's a lot of doctors for one area. I was thinking maybe some kind of society or club.

Things cannot be pretty unique. An item cannot be more or less unique than another.

I just had to beat Barry to it.

Oh, and edit: Jason, that is a very cool (and creepy) picture. Thank you for sharing it. If I can't sleep tonight, I'm going to blame these creepy doctors.

Double edit: Are those bullet holes I see where there foreheads would be? Eek!

Does it say on the back they played the lawyers? That would explain a lot about the photo...

Yes it does say they played the lawyers and it saws recreation on it too so I'm leaning towards it being a rec league team.Doctors and Lawyers I wonder what professions the other teams consisted of?
