If you ever come up with a duplicate of John Ritchey, I can give it a good home.

Hi-
My first baseball card was a Capilano Nick Pesut--he lived 3 houses down from me. I always wondered what a Capilano was--can you tell me?
Thanks!

There is a Capilano river near Vancouver, so the minor league team might have took Capilanos as its name. Then again, there's a canyon, a bridge, a dam, etc. named Capilano so it could be the source of the name as well.

(edited to try to get my facts closer to reality)

Very interesting type, could you tell us how you came across this cards! K. Chorlton and Sandy Robertson, did you buy this cards from Vancouver, (What's the story on them)?

And yes I'd like to have one also, if your ever thinking of selling your Sandy Robertson lmk.

The name "Capilano" originates from the Capilano Indian band. Aside from the band, Capilano River is on the North Shore, and essentially divides the cities of West Vancouver and North Vancouver.

The Vancouver Capilanos played in the Western International League, and these cards were from the early 50s.
