Tony,

I looked around on Ebay. Apparently, many people feel that Mantle's real rookie was printed in 1952. Some sellers think the 1980's reprint, or even the late 1990's refractor versions count. A few think his rookie was printed on porcelain.

I was just trying to be precise.

In the 70's & 80's the 51 Bowman was always considered Mickey's Rookie
What new info has been discovered that Now his 52T is his rookie?

My question is why isn't his 52 Bowman card Never listed as a rookie
Why isn't A 52 topps Mays Not Willies rookie card?

I say his 53 topps card is his rookie
