Default 1936 Goudey Wide Pen question

I was hoping I could get some expert opinions regarding the 1936 Goudey Wide Pen Bobby Doerr card listed on eBay. I have a couple '36 Wide Pens already. The ones I have are of a more cream color than the one on eBay. The sale card appears to be quite white. Is that a cautionary issue, or should I not be concerned? What are your thoughts as to its authenticity? Thanks in advance. Tim

Weird. I was going to ask the same question. I know it was reprinted in the '70's but not much more info.

Thanks

It is a R314 Creamy, Type 4, I believe and look real.

Default Still unsure..........

As I stated in my first post, I have 2 Bobby Doerr 1936 Wide Pens (PSA 5 and PSA 4.5 ). Both of my cards are very "creamy" in color (as described in the SCD for '36 Goudey Wide Pen Premium Type 4). The posted scan on eBay appears to be white......especially the reverse. I was unaware there were 1970 era reprints. Does anyone have definitive information/opinion regarding the authenticity of the card for sale on eBay? Your help is very much appreciated. Thanks. Tim

I thought it just might be the scan. I took a look at my Doerr and I think the back seems a bit whiter than the front. In any event, you can always get a guarantee of authenticity from the seller. I believe the seller is a reputable dealer.

Default seller

The seller is Chandy Greenholt who has been in the hobby a long time. Have bought numerous items from him over the years without a problem. I would not hesitate buying from him.

Might be a scanner setting issue. It does look a bit whiter than normal but otherwise looks authentic.

Its really from 1937. Type C, Canadian Creamy, aka type 4

Default what's the problem?

Just like any other Doerr wide pen, maybe a little whiter but that type of variation is common (especially the scanner is figured in). Chandy is totally honest-- it's a nice card.
