For Sale: Carstairs Connie Mack greats banner
Brownish colored banner put out in the early 50s, where Connie Mack named his all time great team. Gold tassles and wood rod, and string on top to "hang" on a nail or whatever
Cobb, Mathewson, Ruth, Johnson, et al are on Connie's all time team Some fading to some of the lettering, and a bit dirty but overall VERY presentable. Corresponding Book
I have a book published in 1951 called Baseball's Greatest Lineup by Christy Walsh in which a group including Connie Mack pick the all-time greastest team. I believe your item corresponds to that book--just thought it was interesting. Pete
