Default FS: 1908 John McGraw Type 1 Photo

FS: 1908 Type 1 photo, John McGraw on the sidelines at the Polo Grounds. This is the only copy of this photo I've ever seen, with photos of McGraw prior to 1909-10 being scarce regardless. And this one is pretty great...fantastic shot with McGraw pointing the finger and still looking young.

Condition is good with one larger crease and a few cracks to emulsion in the upper left corner. Light edge wear. Also some scattered light ink on front, none of it really affecting image significantly.

Photo size is 6.5" x 4.75".

$400 OBO shipped. Paypal ok, ff preferred.

For anyone interested, the M.E. Berner stamp belonged, I'm pretty sure, to a woman named Minnie E. Berner who is found in census rolls 1900-1920 living in NYC with occupation being "Photo Importer" or "Photographic Mfg.". The M.E. Berner name can be found given as photo credit in many magazines of the time period.

Msg here or email to take it.

Ray
