Default T206 Cobb Red Portrait Drum on ebay

I am not the consignor or owner of this card but just curious about it. I think it's a great card and I hope the seller does well with it, I am sure they will. As for outing it, I think anyone interested in this kind of card probably knows about it. My question is, "Why is it AUT?" I am guessing it measures short? Any ideas where it will end in price? Great looking card....

If the card measures short then it must "barely" measure short because it almost seems to fully fill the holder from top to bottom. It looks like a factory miscut more than anything else.

Thanks a lot Chris....as I don't concentrate on T206, though I do collect the backs and misfits, I didn't remember. Personally, I liked it better before it was reworked. It seems the original trimming on top, at least to me, was not done to defraud anyone but was probably done to fit into a holder of some kind. Obviously I could be wrong.

There was a find of Drum backs that were all trimmed across the top. I believe they were originally auctioned by Hunt.

Default Re-Re-Conditioned Drum Red Cobb on Ebay tonight -- Buyer Beware!!!

See my post tonight here, which I wrote before realizing that Leon had weighed in on this. There is NO WAY that PSA should call a 100-year-old card authentic when they knew or should have known that the back had been redone and the card retrimmed -- within the past two years, and after it had been slabbed once before by SGC -- in a manner that obviously was intended to deceive.
