Default Empty Sweet Caporal pack

I found an empty Sweet Caporal pack at a flea market last week. It is 10-cigarette pack and the overstamp reads Manuf'r No. 30, Second District, N.Y. JAN 1 1891. Obviously it is far to old to have had a card in it. But is it worth anything?

Hi John!

Very nice find and also very cool.

Yes, it is worth something. Somebody that is totally into T206 would pay anywhere from $65 - $100 in its condition. We are talking about something that is over 100 years old and still presents well.

Congrats!

Take care Charlie

My opinion on value is 25-35 dollars (and I think they could be found for less too). Neat add on piece for our cards but not contemporary to the cards.

Thanks for the replies, I only paid $5 and it included three other non-card related cigarette packs so it sounds like I did ok.

I'd be on the lower side too. I have one on ebay right now with a $15 bid. I had a couple dozen or so and they've all sold in the $15-$30 range. About 1/2 didn't have the slide interior piece though.

Yeah, I would have paid $5 for it in a heartbeat.
