Default Which Dimaggio would you invest in

If you wanted to "invest" in this card and keep it for ten years. What would be best investment?

2018 PSA 5 sold for 522.00
2019 PSA 8 sold for 7,975.20

If you clean it and slightly trim the left side it is by far the best investment.

Remember a few points if thinking about investing in baseball cards.....
Do not mix emotions when investing. Sentimental attachment syndrome. Need a exit profit strategy.
Need to factor in the sale/hopefully for a gain. Will you need a auction house to sell ? Can you sell on your own for cash ect. All factors to focus in on.
Lastly I wouldn’t invest now....stuff is very high right now the us economy is super strong. I would Wait for a much better time to even consider this.
That’s just me.

Who gives a crap you are betting on a third person grading this card who might not know anything. Just remember this "Beauty is in the eye of the Beholder"

Put bluntly, buy the card or buy the holder? The card in the 5 holder has better centering and is a nicer card IMO. However, its in the PSA 5 tomb. The other card you can pay 5X on because its in a PSA 8 tomb. Plus, there is a chance the card in the coveted PSA 8, has been worked on to achieve that grade. When I see prewar issues in high grade now, my first thought is to see if I can detect how it was worked on.

Expensive labels are all the rage. Why buy something you like when you can pay 10x the amount for a stupid number.

the 8 will appreciate much quicker then the 5, I think the last ten years has demonstrated that. But I don’t invest in cards, and the borders on that 8 look very small compared to the 5 so I’d buy the 5.

The 8 could turn into AUT at any given time. True the 5 could be altered but that would be less of a loss .

Default The 5

I also think the 8 looks a little short.
