Default N284 and E91 "fake" designs

I always thought that none of the N284 Buchner Gold Coin cards actually looked like the person whose name was in the caption (except Von Der Ahe, which has a completely different design). But the picture on this Radbourn card sure looks like Radbourn to me.

Am I seeing things, or is that Ol' Hoss? If it is, does anyone out there have a complete (or partial) list of the N284s that actually resemble the player?

Same question for E91 American Caramels. Does anyone have a complete or partial list of the cards that actually resemble the player? I recently picked up an Evers, and the picture clearly is Evers. Waddell and Plank also both look accurate to me. Any others? Thanks.

The E91 Wagner and Plank are the most accurate that I've seen in this set.

I noticed Leon is selling a King Kelly and his ebay listing mentions that there are 53 cards with pictures that actually look somewhat like the players. Leon, is there a published list of these folks somewhere?

There are actually three distinct groups of Buchners. The first is a set that depicts a player at each position for each team in a standard front poses. These are the ones you are thinking of when comparing to E91. The second group are cards of the St. Louis team that have unique poses. The third group consists of about 50 players also in unique poses. These are the tougher ones to find.

Thank you both. It looks like I've been turning up my nose at N284s for no reason. I've got Lipset's encyclopedia, so I'll look up the list.

Are the St. Louis players all in the same style as Von Der Ahe?

Any opinions as to whether this really pictures Joe Tinker?
