HELP - I've fallen into a trap
I think I'm hooked. I'm a vintage guy. Nothing newer than 1975 except a small hand full of cards. Now topps now is here! I have been buying one or 2 of each since I found out about them. Haven't received any yet. Does anyone else think this is a very cool idea?

Now
Wonder how many cards they make of of event. If just so many is it first come first served ? If they have extras do they pitch them or give them away or store them ?

They take orders over a 24-hour period and then print to the number of orders. Some are neat, but I don't see them having any real value in the future. Especially when we saw the first Story (RC) card in Week 1, and then they printed three more in the first month. So even if you have something limited, it won't be limited for long, and the cards aren't numbered.
I am actually surprised the experiment has gone on this long.

I like the idea and have purchased 2 Mets (Colon & Noah) but I don't think there will be a huge long term ROI here. I wish they were individually numbered. Another cool thing is that the number of possible complete sets will be dictated by the lowest print run.

I'm not buying these for a return at all. Only for fun. I hope they do the same for football. I think it's a cool idea but has derailed money that would have gone to vintage cards.

I picked up a few Tyler Whites for about $3 each on the secondary market. I'll most likely pick up one of each of the Astros depending on how long this experiment lasts.

I'm fascinated by the Topps Now cards, based on the few posts to this thread, I think I may be in the minority...

I think it is a really good idea. I've been lucky enough to be at a game that generated a card, which I though was very cool.

Yep, some corners of the internet are talking about them. I noticed that there were now advertisements for them on Facebook. Maybe it was specific to the Ichiro Suzuki card, but I figured that would at least increase some interest.
