Default My first complete vintage set (No PSA 8's)

After four years, my quest to complete a set of N28's came to an end. It started in 2006 when I occasionaly bought new shiny stuff to open with my boys and thought vintage cards were 1952 Topps. Bought a box of 2006 Allen & Ginter and wanted to learn more about the originals. From there I was hooked and havent looked back, those were the last modern packs I have opened. I have so many extras from upgrades and lots that I am thinking of finishing another non baseball set. Would like to ultimately have a SGC set of 50 and a PSA non baseball set of 40, dont have far to go. The link below shows the set and most of my duplicates. (Have about 6 raw that are not added yet). Plan on sending the Anson and most of the raw to SGC soon, kind of nervous to, thats why they have been sitting in my safe for years. Thanks for letting me share here, the wife and kids have little to no interest.

Very cool accomplishment! I have slowly been doing the same thing, putting together a 1954 Bowman mid grade set.

Default Wow

David, that's a great set you've put together. I picked up my first N28 (non-baseball) a couple years ago. Every month or so I see it and decide that I will start the set. I think I finally will begin it - just in a much lower grade!

Default N28

Hey nice set. Congrats. The N28 Buffalo Bill card has always been one of my favorite non-sports cards...and yours is a nice example. Thanks for sharing.

Default N28s

The N28 set is my favorite all-time set right in front of '52 Topps.
I completed the N28s set at the 1999 National in Atlanta. I fell in love with cards in 1982-83 when I got those Dover reprint books at school that had I think all the baseball players in it. I was an 11 year old kid that thought I'd never see even one original example from the set (or even a '52 Topps Mantle) and used to "damage" up the reprints to make them look old (No...I didn't sell them as authentic versions to other kids....or sell 'em now as I still have some of them that I damaged up....LOL)

Congrats on completing the set. I don't have mine scanned so I can't show 'em. They're all raw as issued (the way they should be) in small top loads and in 4-pocket Vario sheets in a Vario album.......

I'm currently working on the '52 Topps Low #s Black/Red combos after completing the set with the Page/Sain errors and the Campos black star...then maybe to other variations....who knows?????

Then to what set I don't know.............

Thanks for all the compliments. If anyone has thought about putting a set together, now is a good time. N28's have seem to taken a bigger hit than other vintage cards in the market. I have recently bought a few upgrades that were more than 50% cheaper than a couple years ago.
