Default Any idea what this Earl Averill is?

Picked this up at a flea market

3 1/2 x 5
Photographic paper, says "This paper manufactured by Kodak" on reverse

That looks like one of the photos he would send back when you wrote to him. It's a reproduction of and old photo (picture of a picture) and he used to send them back whether you asked for one or not.

FWIW, the image was shot by George Burke, and the photos may well have been supplied to Averill by his successor, George Brace, who supplied photos to many current and retired players for decades.
