Default vintage World Series ticket stub question

Posted By: Scott Sarian

Hi,

I recently purchased the pictured 1931 World Series ticket. It was advertised and priced as a stub, but my question is, if this is just the stub, what does the full ticket look like?

The section to the right appears to be the rain check, and the portion to the left looks like it would be the portion ripped away when the ticket is used. But there is a perforation on the left edge of the ticket, so I imagine there could have been a second stub on the left which was ripped away.

I am certainly not an expert on this topic, so I am hoping someone may be able to explain what is missing that classifies this as only a stub.

Thanks!
Scott

Thanks Jamie. My bad for not thinking to check ebay first. That does confirm that mine is a stub, but I'm curious if anyone has a pic of what the full ticket looks like.

As a general rule of thumb, a full ticket will have two sections that have the row, section and seat number, one to be kept by the attendant and one to be returned to the customer so that he can find his seat. There are exceptions, usually on really early (like 19th century) or season tickets.
