Default T215 Red Cross Cobb, Poor condition, Value please

I need a little help. I am trying to buy this card, and I know the red cross cards are very rare, this card is in bad shape, but I am not sure what a fair price is for it.

Please look at the image and let me have your opinion. It is much appreciated.

Thanks

Dave

ps. I do not own this card, and it is not for sale.

Default helloo

As I stated, I am trying to buy this card.

THE OWNER, and my self are trying to figure out what it is worth.
I put that in there so that people would not get the idea that I already have this card and try to buy it from me.

Does that answer your question?

My guesstimate would be $500-750

I would guess somewhere around $3000 give or take a little.

James and Jim's estimates aren't even close to one another. I know it is a rare card but it's very beat up with no eye appeal. I say somewhere in the middle of the two previous guesses.

Default well....

Dave- the last times you asked me about values, I gave you my thoughts and then you offered them for sale at exponentially higher amounts. (which is your right of course)....so I will say $22,500 and good luck!!

Add up $500, $3000, and $22,500, divide by 3...and that's the value.

Leon - you need to know what something is worth in order to multiply it exponentially.

As a Cobb collector I don't think I'd pay more than $1500 for it -- which means it's worth $250.

You've got it backward Jeff. Rob D pays $1500 for that card. A month later, you pick up one in PSA 7 for $250.

Default My guess

I think $22,500 is way too high.

I tried to search for T215 HOF's, and I saw that REA sold a SGC 50 T215 Red Cross Christy Mathewson this year for $5875.00

My guess would be around $1500 - $2,000. Does anyone know how many Cobb Red Cross cards exist?

Just my two cents.

Tony

I'd say the current value is whatever you and the seller can agree upon. Otherwise it's undeterminable (I don't think this is actually a word).

I'd say between $1300-$1500. As tough as that card may be, it's still very rough (and almost looks like the bottom portion is about to separate).

I know the card is rare, but it's just so rough looking. If it were me I would put the $1500-$2000 into the nicest T206 Cobb red portrait I could find. Personally, I would rather own a more common card in higher condition, but that's just my opinion.

Anthony,

No, not a crease, just a small surface wrinkle...or two....or two thousand. Sorry couldn't resist.

Hell, I'd take the card. I don't mind beaters.

Tell me about it. But they are not for sale... so do not ask Dave. But they are for sale from the website.

I'd try to get for $1000, then I'd try to sell it for $1500. After reviewing all the low-ball offers I'd probably end up letting it go for about $750.

I'd say about $657.97--ballpark figure, or $6500 as a Buy It Now on the Bay.
