Default 1887 Star Baseball club Ticket

Hoping someone could help me out with this ticket. I thought it might be from a Syracuse Stars team function? It is stamped 1887 and N.Y. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Hi Toby- nice ticket. It was common for baseball clubs to hold cotillions, and they were big social events. This looks to be a benefit of some sort, and probably in the same vein. If you're asking what it's worth, it's not a ticket to a baseball game so I would guess it is nominal.

Default Hello Barry,

Not really worried about what it is worth. Was trying to see if it was linked to the Syracuse Stars Team. I am unsure and as Jay Miller and I discussed it would have said "stars" on the ticket. So I think you are right. Just a normal type of benefit for a team from that era.

Did you try googling Stewart's Hall to see if it is in Syracuse?
