Default Help With a Program

I am trying to find Kansas City Athletics programs that feature Reggie Jackson for his short stint the end of 1967....he returned to the majors and played 9/15-17 @ California, 9/18-19 home Vs. Minnesota, 9/20-21 @ Minnesota and 9/22-23 home Vs. California.

Early in the year Roger Repoz wore #9 until he left the team on June 6th. At this time Reggie wore #31.

I am trying to find a program from this late call up to see if he still wore #31 or switched to #9 which he wore in 1968.

Appreciate any help you could provide as I believe a program would list his uniform number.

All the best,
Doug

Baseball Almanac is pretty good at looking up numbers. Here is a link to the 1967 Athletics. It shows him only wearing #31

Default Program

I agree it is a good resource. I just want to see actual programs in order to make sure....especially since he was called up at the end of the year, Repoz was gone and by early the next year he settled into #9.

Thanks,
Doug

If you have access to the book "Baseball by the Numbers", that's a great resource as well (unfortunately, I do not have it).

Perhaps the Game Used Forum could also help... but I imagine you probably tried them first.

Best of luck in finding a definitive answer,
Mark

Doug, the local Kansas City papers may have pictures of Jackson in them during the specified period of Sept 15-25, even though Reggie was very lackluster in 1967.
- Jackson's first homerun ever was on September 17, 1967 on the road in California. On September 18 or 19, the local Kansas City papers may have pictures of him hitting it (or perhaps there is a picture of Reggie's first homerun out there elsewhere). Reggie also had hits on Sept 22nd and 23rd, both games at home, so perhaps pictures on the 23rd or 24th in the local papers.
Think the papers might be easier than a program, and you know the old saying

Here's this on ebay - not sure if they are saying it has a photo of Reggie and in uniform or not - from Dec 1967:

Think you're looking for the Kansas City Star on microfilm, Sept-Dec 1967.
