Default Grading crads, sicence or not?

I have posted before on this topic with 2 other examples, the lower of the greaded cards at that time i actually did buy (and it was the better card by far)

But here is another example......

im no grader, but Im thinking the grading companied need to keep a data base of their graded cards, in order to set a referance for them selves. Each individual person (grader) of course has their own ideas but the company needs to hold to a certain standard. And if, when grading, the person can go and look back at a dozen or so SGC 30's for example and compare them to what they are working on they can get an idea of where that card should grade out at.

But If BOB, thinks a card is a SGC 50, and STEVE thinks a similar card is a SGC 30, well that just makes no sence.

I would deff prefer the lower graded card

SGC 40 - http://www.ebay.com/itm/A0334-T205-1...item3cb7cba134

SGC - 30 - http://www.ebay.com/itm/SGC-30-1911-...item484cff1d03

Everyone thinks there kids are prettier than they are, their house is worth more than it is, and that PSA will grade their cards higher than they will.

Threads like this make me laugh...sometimes we have topics about the courteous things people are expected to do on this board. Might I suggest taking a moment or two to proofread your post before hitting "submit reply." I've accepted the fact that very few people care about spelling anymore, it's an antiquated idea. But if you are willing to make even a tiny effort to spell words correctly, how about at least in the title of your post? That is something others would appreciate. Thank you.

Hi Judd- if I had a lawn I'd chase them all off!

Things are pretty good here, hope you are doing well too.

This thread again points out that there is simply no way to bring perfect consistency to what is largely a subjective activity. Nevertheless, I am a fan of TPG because I believe it facilitates long-distance transactions by generally ferreting out fraudulent and altered cards. What strikes me as foolhardy is attaching so much significance to grades so as to justify the large disparity in values, especially at the high end.
