Default Baseball autographs 19th century & non-hall of fame rarities

134) PEBBLY JACK GLASSCOCK Vintage 3x5 sheet signed boldly in fountain pen he has also written "National League 1879-1896" Extremely RARE autograph ! Originates from the Anthony Russo collection. Glasscock led the league in batting in 1890. At the time of his retirement he was considered to be the BEST defensive shortstop and second baseman of his era in addition to batting a robust .290 over his career. Often mentioned as a future Hall of Famer. His autograph is far more rare than Deacon White who was recently inducted as we watched prices for his autograph skyrocket into the 5 figure range, What would Glasscock's autograph sell for if and when he is inducted ? . A unique opportunity to obtain an autograph of this legendary infielder who died in 1947. $1 ,450.00
135) JOHN J. "SADIE" McMAHON Vintage 3x5 sheet signed in fountain pen. Originates from the Anthony Russo collection. Outstanding 19th century pitcher 1889-1897 for the Champion Baltimore Orioles, the Brooklyn Bridegrooms and Athletics. He led the league in wins in 1890 with an amazing 36 victories and in 1891 with 35. (Died-1954) $250.00
136) HUGH CASEY AUTOGRAPHED "BURKE" PHOTO Pictured in Brooklyn Dodgers uniform, Measures 4x6 , Signed perfectly in bold fountain pen "To Frank , HUGH CASEY" is encased in a PSA holder but could be removed. There is an ever so slight crease at the far top middle which is barely noticable. Double weight heavy stock, mat finish with the "Geo. Burke" studio stamp on the reverse. Signed Burke photos are considered the ultimate upgrade in any collection as his baseball photography is truly a work of art as evidenced here. Hugh Casey was considered ne of the premier relief pitchers of his day. He played for the 1935 Cubs, 1939-42 & 1946-1948 Brooklyn Dodgers and in 1949 for the Pirates and Yankees. EXTREMELY RARE autograph on anything especially a signed photo. Casey was only 37 years old when he took his own life in 1951 by shooting himself in the neck with a shotgun while on the telephone with his estranged wife. $750.00
137) JAMES "RIP" COLLINS AUTOGRAPHED "BURKE" PHOTO Signed and inscribed "To my Good friend Coach Wares, JAMES RIP COLLINS" From the estate of player and coach Buzzy Wares. Double weight heavy stock, mat finish with the "Geo. Burke" studio stamp on the reverse. Signed Burke photos are considered the ultimate upgrade in any collection as his baseball photography is truly a work of art as evidenced here.Pictured in St Louis Cardinals uniform , member of the fabled "Gas House Gang" most notably the 1934 Cardinals team. He played for the red birds 1931-1936, The Cubs 1937-38 and Pirates in 1941 he was a three time member of the All Star team and died in 1970. $350.00
138) EDDIE CICOTTE 3x5 index card signed on the lined side. One of the best pitchers of his day he was banned from baseball for life for his role in the 1919 Black Sox World Series fix. He died in 1969. $225.00
139) SHOELESS JOE JACKSON Government postcard postmarked on the reverse 2/26/1949. Signed by his wife but still highly collectible, an affordable alternative to an authentic Jackson signature which would sell in five figure range. $250.00
140) BABE ADAMS Government postcard postmarked on the reverse 3/26/1949. Pitcher for the 1906 Cardinals and 1907-1926 Pirates , Won 3 games in 1909 World Series. (Died-1968) $65.00
141) BILL CARRIGAN Government postcard postmarked 2/28/1949. Signed twice by Carrigan Was Babe Ruth's first major league manager with the Boston Red Sox (Died-1969) $65.00
142) HOWARD EHMKE Full page letter written on his personal letterhead which actually has an image of him pitching. Comes with the original envelope which is postmarked 5/23/1949. Measures 8 1/2 x 8 with short handwritten note that reads "With Best Wishes to Stanley Lippincott from HOWARD EHMKE" The hero of the 1929 World Series for the Athletics he pitched a No-Hitter in 1905. (Died-1959) $150.00
143) HEINIE GROH 4x4 magazine photo pictured in Reds uniform swinging his famous bottle bat. Signed on the light portion. Originates from the Ambrose Edens collection. Groh played for the World Champion 1919 Reds (Died-1968) $150.00
144) TOMMY LEACH original photo of a young Leach pictured in Pittsburgh Pirates uniform. Measures 3x5. Heavy stock mat finish signed in fountain pen it is in pristine condition as it has been kept in its original envelope all of these years. Comes with original envelope which is postmarked 9/26/1949. Best remembered for participating in the 1st World Series in 1903 while playing for the Pittsburgh Pirates. He died in 1969. $175.00
145) STUFFY McINNIS Vintage 3x5 index card signed in fountain pen. 1909-1927 Athletics, Red Sox, Braves, Indians, Pirates, Phillies one of the best players of his era at his position and possible future Hall of Famer (Died-1960) $225.00
146) WALLY SCHANG Government postcard postmarked 3/2/1949. Signed in fountain pen has very, very minor tape stains on the far corners from where it was once displayed in a scrapbook. Considered one of the best catchers of his era. member of the 1921 New York Yankees and a possible future Hall of Famer. (Died-1965) $250.00
147) BURT SHOTTON Government postcard postmarked on the reverse 12/5/1949. Player and later better remembered as the manager of the 1947 Brooklyn Dodgers that helped introduce Jackie Robinson to the major leagues. Very minor tape stains on all four corners from where it was once displayed in a scrapbook. (Died-1960) $150.00
148) WIESER DELL Vintage 8x10 photo pictured in Brooklyn Dodgers uniform. Heavy stock mat finish photo. Signed in fountain pen in 1949 he writes "Best Wishes Stanley Lippencott, WIESER DELL Dodgers 1916". Dell was a member of the first championship Brooklyn team. He died in 1966. $150.00
149) GUS GETZ 2 1/2 x 4 1/2 photo of Getz pictured in Brooklyn uniform. Comes with original mailing envelope which is postmarked 11/12/1949. Signed in fountain pen and has also written "Brooklyn Dodgers 1916 Champions" (Died-1969) $75.00
