Default Goodwin - What should my shipping expection be?

Anyone willing to chime in on what my expectations should be on receiving my lot from Goodwin? The check that I wrote them cleared my account yesterday. Should I expect the lot to be in the mail already or has experience proved otherwise. It's my first Goodwin win.

Thanks!

Jeff

from my experience with goodwin...

-shipping usually takes longer than I expect

-items are packaged babushka doll style...so be prepared to open lots of boxes/envelopes

-shipping fees seem high to me...esp considering my winnings always get sent to the wrong address requiring me to drive to fed ex 20 miles away.

just my experiences with bill.

Just taking a guess here it might take a bit longer than usual given he just ran 2 consecutive auctions with a reasonably high number of cards. Usually I have found shipping to be relatively quick.

My first time winning an auction house auction --- ever. So, learning a lot.

First, wait for the invoice. Cause shipping isn't included in the initial one the very next morning. So, don't cut a check and mail it cause it'll be $15 short.

Second, don't email saying you messed up, because you won't hear anything back. BTW, this is understandable, I'm a small fish in a big sea of winnings and packages.

Third, take a breath that it isn't Ebay and you won't get your stuff drop shipped the next day.

I've never had a problem with Goodwin shipping times. If you call him and ask him about it he's very up front and will tell you when it'll ship.

Good thing I don't try to instantly flip every card I buy at inflated prices or this shipping thing could be a logistical nightmare?!?!

Thanks everyone, I was just wondering what board experience has been. Didn't feel like calling and pestering the auction house, it's not that it's been a long time to justify a call, I'm just itching.

This has been very helpful.

Default Goodwin

I won my first item with them last July. I got my winnings from FEDEX a day before he got my check.

Can't complain about that.

My shipping was $10 for nearly 4K in cards. Not sure the shipping can be any lower than that.

I won a fairly large item valued at almost 1K. Shipping at only 11 dollars, I can't complain.

Peter, just for info purposes, my invoice was $3200 for 3 graded cards and shipping was $20. I was pretty happy with that number.

Default Shipping

I received my Goodwin item today, and I have to say that I was pleased with the entire process. I mailed a check, the check cleared last Wednesday, and I received my card today. Couldn't ask for better service.

Rick

Default I Agree With Rick

I got my payment out March 29 and my package arrived in New Jersey on Friday, April 5. That's pretty good turnaround.

I'm surprised you have bidding privileges at Goodwin.
