Here's another beauty

and these both came from older collections, not purchased in the 2000's. ruined some expensive cards, especially the US Caramel(the Sport King has tape on the back).

Never thought there was on either, but it's amazing what they will waste to try and make it legit, I mean who fakes an auto on an expensive card?

A good con man looking for a mark!

Perhaps it was a kid that did it back in the '30s or '40s. I remember getting cards with facsimile signatures when I was a kid, and trying to copy the signature on the same card. Sure, it was dumb, but the cards only cost me a penny apiece.

Probably too well done for kids, more likely from the 1980's/90's when the cards were still cheap enough and the auto's were not as prevalent(not all of the modern day forgers had cranked up yet).
