I don't see why it shouldn't be encapsulated if it hasn't been altered in any way - they should just give it a grade that takes the miscut into account.

I've seen E90-1's that were miscut almost as badly that were encapsulated.

Hi Leon:

If the card isn't altered (and they don't seem to be saying it is), it should be gradeable (is that a word?). Of course, the grade will stink...

Personally, I don't bother having miscuts and misprints slabbed because of the smacking they take on the technical grade.

they won't grade it because they would take an even WORSE beating from you guys if it ended up in an SGC slab. I don't blame them for not grading it.

This might be obvious, but will it fit in a holder if
it is oddly shapen or asymetrical?; I have seen them reject cards because
they simply do not fit.

I have to agree with Scott on this one. While I can't say whether or not the top cut was done at manufacturing or by a later collector without actually examining the card, I feel this card may be in the same category as many caramel cards (especially E90-1) that have period cuts but are technically too small to holder. If that card belonged to Joe Shmoe and was listed on ebay, we would have a heyday talking about the trim job if it were holdered by SGC, I think a grading company was actually using their brain on this one...there is a first for everything.
