In the undervalued thread there was talk about the American Caramel cards....my question is what are the board members thoughts on the York Caramel?

Below is a link to a 1927 York Caramel #27 Ty Cobb PSA 5 - What do people think of this cad/set? For a good condition Cobb is it a good deal?

I have been collecting cards for 20 years and recently have decided to focus on pre-war cards...even though I am sure I will be out bid on this car, I want to elarn more about the market and what is out there.

I hear that Barry Sloate will have a PSA graded 1927 York Caramel LOU GEHRIG rookie card up for sale in the next week or so.

The Gehrig has historically been the "key" card in this set, so the chance to get the Cobb AND Gehrig in the same week is probably never going to come again.

Yes, I did mention it to Hal and I will have a York Gehrig on ebay starting next Monday. No more details though, as this is not the appropriate thread for it.

The answer to your question can be found on the second page of this site, under " 1928 Ice Cream Question -- Order of Scarcity "

NO, to those of you who are e-mailing me asking me if I will be buying the card from Barry.

The one he is selling is not graded as high as mine...

so happy hunting to all of you!
