I purchased a Beckley graded SGC 50 for half the price of this one. Somethings I'll never understand. Why buy an ungraded card for this price when you can find a nicely graded one? |

and its not like either card was bid up early on, both went high at the very end, they might as well have been a couple ramly's |

This guy has been getting high prices on all the raw T206s he has had for sale lately. Just today, a raw lajoie portrait went for about $450 - it was decent looking, but would grade no better than a 50 in my opinion. A raw green cobby went for over 1100. Both cards went for prices you would expect to see if they had been graded. I havent looked at the bidding, but does there appear to be any fishy bidding going on? |

the bleckley card had two guys at the end just being outrageous with each other, but before that, pretty much everyone bidding had zero feedback, which is kinda strange, the collins, nothing stands out as fishy, all i know is if the t206's are going up that high in demand, its time to sell and buy something not in demand right now..lol |

Am I the only one struck by the seller's name? Maybe he's trying to tell us something? |

And the fact they have a 97.1% feedback rating doesn't really instill much confidence... |

Plus the top edge of each is fishy. The cut looks odd on the Beckley and I am not thrilled with the Collins either. Maybe grandma tried to trim the tops to make them more minty. |

I bought the Cobb green port; assuming that most of them are selling for $1500+ in a SGC/PSA 2 grade (which is what I think it will be) I'm quite happy. She sent the card yesterday and it should be here Thursday or Friday. |

Were they offering a return if card didn't grade or even if you could just plain tell it was fake upon viewing? |

I asked if it was authentic but for some reason I neglected to ask about alterations...if it does come back altered I will e-mail the seller and play it from there. |

THe Cobb arrived today and is acutally really nice. Measures fine and feels real...let's see what SGC thinks. |

I was concerned with the indentation on the bottom of the card. A nice card though, without a doubt. |

I just wanted to chime in regarding insinuations concerning this seller. Thieves Market has been owned by the same family since sometime in the early 50s and has an excellent reputation. I live in the same area and there is stuff in my house that my mother purchased at their auctions in the late 50s and 60s. I bought three of the cards myself and they are fine. When I went into their shop before bidding to look at the cards, I asked about the feedback. The owner explained that a lot of the negatives were from buyers of low cost items who did things like send personal check payments, which they explicitly do not accept. As to this group of cards, they were part of an estate (yes, this time it's true). Thieves Market runs estate sales locally and buys entire estates. They are not baseball card people but this time they stumbled onto a great find! Wish it'd been me! |
