That OJ in 1 I sold recently sort of qualifies. Not seeing the "but" on your example what am I missing?

The chip on the right border is very distracting to me. When I bought it I knew it would be a candidate for an upgrade in the future. But it looks pretty good otherwise so I snagged it. It is in a PSA 3 holder because of a few wrinkles that can barely be seen to the naked eye.

Not getting a number due to those tack holes is ridiculous. To me Authentic should be reserved for an altered card. Any card with even catastrophic damage is a "1" if it's all there, or even mostly all there.

I've always agreed with that. I know some collectors despise them but how a really clean card with a single pinhole grades lower than a card with a bunch of creases doesn't make much sense to me. A nice trimmed card? I get that. But a tiny pinhole not even noticeable in some pictures? I'll never understand that.

This Max Stein Cobb has zero creasing and ultra sharp corners. On the right I posted pics of the staple-holes on the top and bottom of the card. Without the staple holes, the card is a 7-8 easily.
My T3 displays great color and is in amazing shape except the 4 back corners are skimmed. It doesn’t affect the checklist at all. Last edited by orly57; 07-08-2018 at 02:34 PM. |

Love the colors on this one. Too bad for the bullet holes.

What a coincidence !! I was thinking of starting a "Let's see some punch/pin hole" thread.
I just picked up this surprisingly tough EPDG O'Leary / knees with punch hole. It reminded me of my Hindu Isbell (which was one of my first mid-tiers, have no idea where I got it ). Then, of course, have to include my multi-pin holed Leifield / pitch. I'll take a hole any day ...... xxholes.jpg Anyone want to play "The Count" from Sesame St. and count the number of pin holes in Leifield ????? Fun, fun, Scott |

I should have known better when I bought this one. It had parts of two 50's Topps cards glued to the back. But hey it is still has a nice looking front and I know what the back was.

Beauty of a punch-hole. Without it (and the paper loss), I would have been priced out of the card.

You must be the most disappointed PSA or SGC customer ever. With a perfect back that is likely a 5. Maybe a 4.
