Default 1931-32 Packers

Anyone know anything about a 1931 or '32 issue of Green Bay Packers cards called Walkers Cleaners?

Like how many in a set, a cklist, value, maybe a pic of one?

Would appreciate any info you might have.

They are checklisted in Beckett. They are sepia photos of the 3X championship team and difficult to find. There was a presentation album available to house the set. Incudes the a key card of Curly Lambeau. There is a silk paper bio attached to the photo. Quite regularly they are found without the paper scrip and with the left tab (with holes) trimmed off. Because they were so attractive many were framed.

Carl--

Thanks for the reply! I have an SCD FB Bible but I don't see them in it.

A few questions if I may:

Are they 1931 or '32 issue? Does it give a value? How many in the set? Are they numbered? Could you EM me a larger scan of that picture so I can read the copy?

Thanks--I would certainly appreciate it!

The SCD price guide is not a very comprehensive football guide. From what I see its better on some of the more common issues. It has a good reputation as a Baseball Card Guide. You can see larger images on Beckett.Com which you can download. They were issued in 1932. They are listed for $7K but the value is 2X with the paper scrip still intact. They are numbered. There are 27 photos in the set. There is a presentation album that was issued to house the set. There is a Cal Hubbard and a Blood McNally. Its loaded with HOFers and Packer HOFers - Hope that helps.

Carl--

Thank You very much! Great info on a rather obscure issue I had never heard of before.
