Thankyou Jimmy
Received a sweet old PC in the mail... Jimmy refused any money to boot.
Me happy, Steve PS; Is that Joe Jax is at the plate?! |

this is the hobby
This is really what I feel the hobby should be about; helping each other out. Kudo's to Jimmy, and to Steve, for posting about it. We just don't hear enough good in the hobby and can become jaded because of it. Thanks again guys!!

No, Joe Jax is out at SS
in the second photo. Look at the ears, it's obvious!
Nice gesture, thanks for sharing.

First photo, hasn't that been rumored to be Babe Ruth for years?

I think there are many that can confirm Jimmy is a one of the good people on the board and in the hobby. My dealings with him have been of a similar kind. Plus he has great taste in collectibles. "King of Companion pieces"
Further, all of my dealings with those on the board have been very pleasant experiences. I think this forum, more so than many others I have seen, seems to have very high percentage of quality people. I have seen people more interested in having collecting being about sharing a passion, rather than having the most stuff. People selling things at cost or giving things to each other, so that someone who wants or would appreciate it more can have it, seems to happen a lot here. People are always willing to share their expertise with each other. BTW, I don't see Jackson, but isn't Gehrig the one in the foreground standing with his legs crossed? Best, Mark

I second Leon's sentiments above. This certainly is what collecting is all about. And that is an awesome cool postcard.

I've seen this postcard many times and just now I notice that almost every player seems to be looking down at the ground. Has there been an infestation of ants?
